Our vision is that all students graduate prepared and inspired to thrive in college and in careers.
The Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education (MCBRE) is a nonprofit comprised of senior business leaders who collaborate with the top education leaders in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). Together, we explore how our organizations can solve leadership challenges.
MCBRE also runs programs that help students connect what they are learning in the classroom with the real world so they can
translate their emerging skills into meaningful future careers.
Our Standards for Programmatic Success: Strategy, Scale, Sustainability
Many nonprofits operate in the field of education, but MCBRE has a unique focus. Before dedicating resources to a program, we ask three fundamental questions:
1) Will the program serve a strategic purpose? Efforts must be strategic, addressing broad issues of concern to both the education and business communities.
2) Will the program have a large-scale impact? Efforts must have a significant impact on a sizable group within the school system, or on the system as a whole.
3) Will the program be sustainable by the school system? Efforts must be sustainable in the long run by school system resources.
